GTs have more crap to add weight. Heavier seats...ground effects...basically just creature comforts. No performance added. The LX is faster.

lx is a notch back(has a trunk) and a GT has a hatch, lx really isnt necessarily faster though, i'm sure it is a little lighter

uh lx's are hatches too, gt's are no different than a lx other than 150lbs of ground effects.

LXs came with hatches, trunks and convertibles. The trunk LXs are faster because they're lighter. Ever hear of power to weight ratio?

Yep, the LX's are faster than the GT's. It all depends on what you like. I don't like the ground affects all that much. And I liked the looks of the LX better. But its up to you...
