well today was really wierd i went to run my friends stock ls1. as we were racing i knew my 3rd is screwd up so i waited a lil then got in, right as i got into 3rd i stepped on it. It was the wierdest thign it like kicked me out kinda(it did exactly what happens when your goin 40-50 and down shift from 3rd to 2nd, where the tires squeak). after that i was liek o sh*t. but i can still drive it in 3rd now dident have the problem again?

i have been having this problem, where its a 50/50 chance of me gettin into 3rd on the first shift for about 2-3 weeks

i am tryin to think here if i can drive my car thru every gear its just hard to get into 3rd(sometimes) other gears are fine. this would mean my trans is not completly blown right?

 

sounds like a sync to me.

 

yep its a syncro wearing out or a shift fork bending but it sounds like a syncro

 

no its not fuked just could use a rebuilding i pd 600 for my rebuild but i broke a shift fork(3rd gear)

 

how much am i lookin at to fix my problem?
