i went through the same choice a year ago..had the choice of a 96 cobra 65,000 miles and mint! for $8,000..but it had definatly been beat on for 2 yearsby the17 yr old kid owner or a 99 GT with 62,000 for $8,000...with a 52 year old man as the original owner, i went ahead and got the 99 GT, but i do wish i had gotten the cobra...i say 4v cobra FTW!! you said you had plans for FI, and the 4v will respond so much better and be safer than the 2v

cobra deffinetly, it works alot better with mods and has a good bit of power over the GT in the first place.

Just look around for another Cobra. That's not the only one in the universe. They are going for cheap these days bro

Why do you have to buy one of those cars? Keep looking. You can get a 99 or 01 cobra for less than or right around 15000, with a reasonable amount of miles. However if this is going to be a long term daily driver, in other words until it is paid off, buy the newer GT.

agreed with last 2 posts, keep looking I bet you u can find a 99-2001 cobra in your price range.

yeah honestly i wouldn't go with 2v, alot of guys on here wish they would of gotten 4v's instead of 2v, atleast that's what some of them make it seem like. Dont forget you don't just have to get a stang, I'd deffinetly be looking for some 98+ Z28's or Trans Ams if i had that sort of money and was in the market
