Handheld tuner Footprints?????
Does anyone know if any of the handheld tuners for mustangs, leave behind footprints of a flash on the computer? Because I know there are some for Turbo-diesels that doesn't. I wanted to know, if when it's flashed back to stock, does it just show up like the battery was disconnected, or does it actually show that the computer was reprogrammed. Thanks.
I undestand the question and what you are referring to but I honestly do not know. I have taken several cars I have had over the years from factory to custom tune and back to factory again before taking them into the dealer for a warranty issue and/or trade in and have had no problems. It is my understanding that when you reflash a n 02 mustang (that is what I have) back to stock it will only appear as if you reset the ECM by disconnecting the battery. You may try contacting thefolks a www.brenspeed.com , they have some articles on custom tunes and how to protect yourself from being the victim of a dealership reflash upgrade that may be done while your car is in for routine service unless you tell them not to do anything otherwise.
