Default Loose coolant ??

I own a 1998 mustang GT 5 speed with 136k miles, When I bought the car low coolant light is on, I find out that my radiator is crack, so I replace it. the light is off, then 2 week later, low coolant light back on again, then I saw a leak coming from thermostat bolt. Today I take out the thermostat and find out it doest not have the o-ring. I bought the oring and new 195 thermostat, when I install is the oring support on top of the thermostat or under the thermostat ?
I put the oring on top of the thermostat, is that right ? after every thing done, tight the bolt 20 fb torque, no more leak from the bolt, I fill the coolant to the add level. then I ran the car take it around the neigborhood, came back home, I saw alot coolant leaking out the coolant reser cap. any one have any ideal, where it leak from, mabe I have a crack on the coolant reserver mabe ? thanks
