Buy Cobra, put in new supercharger. Or turbo. with 3-6Grand on top of what you just payed to buy the car, the Cobra will be 700hp and blow the nuts off of your dad's GT500. Do the right thing, make your dad cry.

When buying a car as old as an 03/04 Cobra you just have to remember..... Someone else bought that car to DRIVE it... and probably has 'driven' it pretty damn well!
I would love to have one but wouldnt you hate to dish out 25k for a possible lemon?
If you would be happy with the new body styling, capping out at 450rwhp, and having a LONG warranty... then get the 07 GT

If im not mistaken..... You can have the dealership put a saleen/roush supercharger on it and have that under warranty as well. And if you had a warranty problem.... It wouldnt be that hard to switch back to stock before you took it in

I persoanlly went through the same decision you are going through but im glad I got a GT and I wish I would of got the cobra.
1st. Besides swapping a pulley, cai, tuner, shifter I think the other mods are PITA on the cobra.
2nd. The 07 GT will be much slower but you have a warranty and you can get one that nobody else has owned(thats why I went for it)
3rd. My friend blew his cobra motor at 40K miles. It cost 9 grand for the new motor. I wanted my car to last longer than that. I know cobras last longer than that but I would always be racing it if I had it.
