Click here for Accufab's flow data (about 1/2 way down the page)--look at the numbers and then decide how you want to spend your money. The Trick Flow (same as Pro-Products) flows 35 cfm less (595 vs, 628 cfm) than the Accufab at 28" water (2 inHg, more or less WOT on an n/a engine) pressure differential. This is 104 cfm better than the OEM plenum with a 70 mm TB,andalmost 70 cfm more then a 4.6L V-8 can suck in at 6500 rpm (528.5 cfmmathematical max)...I made 246.2 rwHP with my mods (listed below, + 180° t-stat, + 2-1/2" tailpipes) which include the ProProducts 70 mm TB and plenum.click here for the dyno chart The 1st two runs were nearly identical, with things going pig-rich after 4400 rpm of so because I had dialed in way to much added fuel at WOT (16%). The 3rd run was with the WOT added fuel set at 2%.
cliffy k....where did u get ur red? did u paint it? or can u link me?

it does dress up under the hood very nicely, you can get it from Summitracing for $99 + $10 for handling. 99GTstang - yes it does whistle a bit but even my stock P&P'd plenum did that. Shaun-quit pickin on slow people [8D]

Does you make a whistle because i have the same setup
I guess so, however it sounds like any other aftermarket performance intake I've ever owned--the factory intake stuff is tuned to achieve a tradeoff betweenreduced intake noise and maximum power, with the nod given to noise if push comes to shove. The 6-pack on my '69 Charger Daytona sounded like it would suck in small dogs and children...

Powder coated at afriend's custom plating shop. He wasdoing a bike frame, tank and fenders on the day I walked in and said that if candy apple red was OK then "I'll do it now"--2 or 3 beers later I was on my way home, I tossed $20 into the happy hour fund. It's discoloring a bit at the EGR end, but only enough to add some character...

Probably, the engine can only suck in 528 cfm at 6500 rpm and 100% volumetric efficiency (which is possible but not likely). More likely at 6000 rpm is at very best 90% to 95% VE (it's probably less), or 440 to 464 cfm. So, and acccording to Accufab's flow data, all the aftermarket plenums with 70 or 75 mm TBs are flowing 500 or so cfm at 20" H2O (except the C&L which is a poor performer)--20" H2O is 1.5 inHg and about as low as you'll ever see manifold vacuum on an n/a engine, so they can all flow plenty of air to keep the engine as happy as it can be*.PS: Before anyone gets on my case these numbers are all based ongross approximations and generalisations--they nonetheless represent a valid overview of the situation.-----------------------* - Accufab's data says the OEM TB and plenum flows 372 cfm at 20" H2O. This is about what the engine would be happy sucking in at 5000 rpm/WOT (assume 92% VE), so obviously there's room for improvement vs, the OEM setup.
