Powershifting......
ok i know people say DONT powershift in a t45 and stuff like that. well today i went to burger king for some chicken fries and i powershifted the **** out of our family beater Ranger... how the F$#@ can a ranger trany hold up to that but a t45 cant? is it just because there is way more power in the stallion or wat
That's a good guess. I'm going to say it's the power factor seeming how a ranger's tranny doesn't have to work as hard. Just a guess. Might wanna wait to hear from someone with a few more credintials.[&:]
lol im waiting for stang2000 lol that dude knows wats up..but i just thought it was funny, toolin down the street powershifting...in a ranger, chirpin 2 and 3rd wat bitches hahaha
Its not like the 45 is going to be instantly gutted if you do it.
Its a matter of abuse over time, it could happen the first time, the tenth, or the 1000th... but its a matter of time if your powershifting a 45.
Also, I am sure your ranger doesn't have a short throw shifter, so even powershifting takes mroe time than speed shifting a 45 with a short or even stock throw. Add in the lack of TQ on a 4cyl ranger, etc etc, you have the idea.
