Default Typhoon Intake Manifold?

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv8dynotune.htm

Anyone heard of this or seen it before. It claims 23hp. I don't know if its true or what, but if thats half way true, its as good as any other manifold I've seen. Aside from the one they built in the Red Headed Stepchild Buildup on MM&FF. I think it looks good and its only $500. I think it sounds worth it. Any thoughts?

There has been a few threads with people talking about it. I haven't heard anything, good or bad, about it. I have heard good things about the new Trickflow Intake for our engines though.

my buddy has one and before he got to do an after dyno with it, water got sucked up in his engine and blew up. It hasa coupleadvantages that I can truthfully tell you. 1. If you get the polished one, it looks damn good. 2. It's a hell of a lot better than the plastic. 3. It's portable, where the stock plastic one isn't. I do know also that the 23HP rating is if you go FI. If not, your *** dyno will feel a little more responsive and crisper, just not 23HP more. Probably gain 5-7 at best. I think it's best for the money spent though. Those other intakes start out much higher in price and you may or may not get any better perfomance gains out of them. But as always, that my opinion.

The gain is only in the rpms your stock motor really can't handle.. have had a lot of people tell me the casting sucks on it, that it doesn't match up and there are things you need to machine down, etc.. on the other hand i have had people tell me they're happy with it... if you want it.. get it... but you won't really see much extra power...

+1

I have it, you certainly don't notice a difference in power, though I've never had it dynoed. And if you wind up going F/I with a KB, it's a waste of money

My buddy has it. He claims to be able to tell a difference in power. Plus you can port it out.

Only positive is that it won't crack with a large nitrous shot!
