FORD RECALL
ford just issued a recalldue to an ongoing cruise controll issue please check with fords website to check your VIN number and see if your vehicle is under this classification.
The recall involves the following vehicles: 1998-2002 Ford Ranger, 1992-1997 Lincoln Town Car, 1992-1997 Ford Crown Victoria, 1992-1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, 1993-1998 Lincoln Mark VIII, 1993-1995 Taurus SHO, 1999-2001 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer.
Also covered are the 2001-2002 Ford Explorer Sport, 2001-2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, 1992-1993 E150-350 vans, 1997-2002 E150-350 vans, 1993 Ford F-Series pickups, 1993 Ford Bronco, 1994 Mercury Capri, 2003-2004 Ford F-150 Lightning, and 1995-2002 Ford F53 motor homes.

Hey you can send me crazy looking pics if you want to but i just had a guy pm me and tell me thanks as his wife drives a 99 Explorer that is on the list. And this recall is due to vehicles just bursting into flames because of a cruise control switch.

BTW this has been a problem with these models for years now.
The vehicles don`t even need to be running for them to catch fire. Pretty scary especially if one is parked in someones garage.

Yeah there was a couple down here in Houston that did catch fire in the garage in the middle of tha night and one case it killed a couuple of people. My mother-in law drives a 99 Explorer and my sister-in-law drives a 00 Mountaineer so they are both going to Ford Next week.
speaking of car fires my 5.0 actually out of no where cought on fire, they said it had something to do with my strobe lights shorting out so the worst part of the whole thing was insurance wont give me anything for it, but o well what are you guna do looks like ive gota project

btw they dont call em exploders for no reason...my dads company doesnt use them anymore for a reason (govt) and if the govt can get them at that good of a deal and they still wont use it...well somethins up
