so then I guess that you didn't need to vent the valve cover or delete the EGR? Did you have any issues? If it's something that doesn't need to be done, I'm fine with leaving "well enough alone", I just don't want to miss out on something so easy if it could actually be benificial...

 

Like I said, I have the driver side valve cover vented.

 

You will always have a little compression get by the rings into the crankcase. The egr doesn't pull that pressure from the crankcase, only the pcv valve in the passenger valve cover and the vent in the drivers valve cover do that. If you block off both of them then the pressure will exit at the easiest place which is the dip stick tube. It'll blow the dip stick out and blow oil everywhere. You need to leave the pcv on the passenger side alone but you could put one of those little filters on the drivers side if you wanted.

 

I also feel your pain man. If your title doesnt consist of NEW RIMS!!!!! or WHAT X PIPE SHOULD I GET!!!!!!????? it seems like no one answers anything.

What exactly is the ADVANTAGE of EGR delete? It seems as though it would lower intake temps pretty good? Definately clean up the engine bay. Anything else guys? I am interested in doing this.

 

Deleteing the EGR does nothing performance wise just makes it look clean in the engine bay. You have to tune your computer if you delete it or your car will run like crap.

I vented both valve covers to keep oil out of my intake. Look at the thread about it and you will see how it all looks.

yep, I guess this thread helped . It seemed that after a day and a 1/2 of no replies it was getting stale
