Default Clutch :(

This is gonna sound stupid, but just incase....

Last year, I bought a new tranny( TKO 600) and bellhousing and all that good stuff....replaced the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing. Now, a year and less than 3000 on the odometer, the clutch is slipping BAD. Last night i was in second and kicked it down, the tach went from 2k-3.5k and it felt like i was spinning the tires, and then i started to smell clutch.

It only happens when im at low RPMs, and once i get to about 3-3.5 it catches and i take off like normal...

What are my options?

thats not good, maybe you glazed it, were you doing burnouts while hitting the breaks? what kind of clutch? is there an excessive amount of chatter? you might just need to adjust it because it might not be engaging fully but in that case its probably too late.

I did a few standstills, but thats about it....nothin too bad...are they hard to adjust?...its worth a shot i spose, better than paying for a new clutch lol...from what i remember its a RAM clutch...i dont remember specifics, and i dont recall any chatter....I just dont want to pay for a new clutch right now lol

theres a way to adjust the tension on the clutch cable but its only a temp. solution. I dont know how to do it you'll have to ask.

those standstill are what is going to kill your clutch. your rear brakes were stopping that car and burning up the clutch
