evo and srt-4
Well I am looking to get rid of my car for either an evo or srt-4. I will probablly get flamed for this but I dont care. I dont like my car anymore. Does anyone know how much these cars can make with stock internals? How much boost can they hold? What is the max whp with out going into the motor(with the exception of cmas). Please inform me on some details. Thanks.

Damn, you have such a nice car too. You need a forged block and a blower.... then you'll forget about wanting those grocery getters. Seriously though if your interested in either I'd check out forums specific to those cars. My guess is that getting more than 400rwhp out of a car with an engine smaller than a soda bottle is not cheap!!! Not to mention for the $$$ it costs just to buy the new car you could have a SC and more into yours, but to each there own.
Getting a SRT-4 w/ FWD would be dumb, IMO. If you HAVE to get a different car get the Evo, all though if its stockit won't be any faster than what you have now. The money you would lose through the car changing process would probably be enough to supercharge your car. Your choice though. You will probably end up dissatisfied with the Evo as well. Remember you gotta pay to play, and the Evo will prove the same way. Have fun turning up the boost

Basically what I was gonna say, lol.
I'd say get the EVO. The thing is, its a performance car that you could drive year round. You could make it as high performance as you can afford, and when it snows, you can have the peace of mind that AWD will give you.
The power potential for a really street-able EVO is much higher than that of an SRT-4 in my opinion.
however, once you start getting into repairs/replacement parts for the EVO its a LOT more expensive than the mustang world. My friend paid a small fortune just getting his clutch replaced...around $2k....and from what Ive read, EVO's eat clutches like fat kids eat M&Ms.
An EVO/STI in my opinion is a high-potential, all around badass car.....and a the SRT4....no matter how fast one is....i'll never like it.....like a K20 turbo swap into a civic hatch....sure its fast....but your car still sucks....
AWD ftw

Well for the people who are flamming me about asking this question. I asked these questions at MF becuase there are alot of knowledgable people on here that know alot about all types of cars. So why go and sign up at another forum when I can just come here and ask the question, Its not like it happen alot. Now back to my questions. I really would prefer a evo IXover the srt-4 but the price differnece makes me look at the srt-4. Does anyone know how much whp these two car are capable of?
