So today pulling into Sonic the unthinkable happend...... My beautifull chrome rim barely scuffed agasint the curb [:@]....

Its not bad at all and was not even visible when i took a picture of it to post on here..... But it is there.

So what i was wondering is for all you guys with a little scuff on your chromies..... Do i need to worry about it rusting now? Should i get it sanded down or something so that rain cant rust it or am i just worrying over nothing?

Na it will be fine. I have curb rash on one of mine, and from what you described mine is way worse and i've had no problems with rust or anything and its been through rain and all that stuff for months now...

 

Good.... Im glad thats its so small that noone cannotice.... But I know its there and thinking about it drives me crazy [:@]

 

haha its okay, mine is sort of bad, and you don't see it in pictures...nor going down the road. Only time someone would notice is if they were like staring at my rims in a parking lot with binoculars..haha.
But yea, just don't worry about it.

 

Unless you have steel rims.... which I highly doubt... then you should have aluminum.... aluminum dont rust!

 

I hit one of my wheels on a bank drive-thru...it wasnt that bad, but bad enough to order a replica the next day...

 

Lol OUCH! Ya i just went back out and looked at it again. Standing up you cant even see it. You have to be on eye level to actually see it. But still im mad [:@]

 

Yes sir, I feel your frustrations. The only reason I ordered a replica is becasue I fellow member offered to buy myscratched wheel...see if you cant get it buffered out if it is bothering you...good luck!
