tune up time! backfired real bad today racing an LT1. i still took em but damn. it sucked. scared the **** outta me. lol.

 

i would say get a tuner make it run a little richer and bump back the timing, you may lose some power but it will prevent backfires

 

i thought you already had a tune when they found your motor was built up er watever

 

yeah and from what i saw...the ****er messed my tune up. i wont be able to get it tuned right cause he's pretty much the only tuner in my town. ill have to drive down to miami or something and god knows when ill have time for that. my poor car is running like poop right now. everything u can think of is starting to get ready to go.....tranny is ready, motor mounts are bad? (friend drove it last night and said he could tell) alternator is gonna go any second, spark plugs are crap, tuning job sucks, god knows what he did to my timing. i noticed he didnt know what he was doing when i asked him to fix my speedo and he said you'll have to go to a ford dealer for that. wtf?
