full boltons can wait til after you get a blower. i picked up a whopping 9RWHP, 8RWTQ from putting LTs on my already blown car with heads and cams.

if ur talking about a non-pi car like mine....full bolt-ons will not do ****. i didnt see any real power until i did the PI swap. before the PI i think i had like 10 rwhp more that stock. and that was with cai, tb/plenum, lt headers, o/r h-pipe, flowmaster mufflers, underdrive pulleys, etc.

Mines a 2000 so its PI, but I think I'm going to the bolt-ons because well I'm a bargain hunter and buy most of my stuff used so hopefully I really wont have all that much into it by the time I'm done. Do the bolt-ons really help the low end grunt at all? Or is it all mid to high range power, because these 2V's really are pretty gutless below 3000 RPMs and even then they dont really wake up until almost 4 grand it seems like.[sm=smiley13.gif]

Problem with bolt ons is yeah they feel great at First then you get used too it. And if your anything like me for some reason you keep racing faster and faster cars and you still loose.! I make 261rwhp and I still can't get out of my own way! Now I'm just buying a cobra motor and putting on a SC...

I felt my SCT tune for my NPI for about a week.
I was disapointed in my PI motor the day I put it in.
I had it dyno'd and tuned again and again I felt it for about a week.
The greatest thing about my car is the looks and the gas mileage 27.8!

Well I know my 2V's place in the world and I know without a form of F/I it isn't going to be fast anytime soon. I think I'll do gears next and hopefully that will keep me satisfied until next summer when I can make a better decision since I won't be in school.

get the blower first just cause its instant power but like every one else said you will need suporting mods like the t body and exhaust plus some good tires and suspension to get the power to the ground....i have a full bolt on and have run 13.3 @ 105...when i had the car dynoed on a dyno jet it made 264rwhp...i forget what the tq was but anyway if i could do it all over again i would probly have gotten exhaust a t/body then a blower befor any of the other stuff
