Guys my goal isn't to beat LS1's, I know it's like the biggest rivalry we have but personally I could care less about keeping up with F-bodies. It's more about just making the car more fun to drive, I'm not that big into street racing. But I do some spirited driving on occasion and would just like to have more power on tap.

Well then you should be just happy with bolt ons for the occasional sprinted highway drive

Problem with bolt ons is yeah they feel great at First then you get used too it. And if your anything like me for some reason you keep racing faster and faster cars and you still loose.! I make 261rwhp and I still can't get out of my own way! Now I'm just buying a cobra motor and putting on a SC...

I felt my SCT tune for my NPI for about a week.
I was disapointed in my PI motor the day I put it in.
I had it dyno'd and tuned again and again I felt it for about a week.
The greatest thing about my car is the looks and the gas mileage 27.8!

how do you get that mileage!?

Is it the tune? I wonder if buying a SCT would be worth it if it helped out my gas mileage. I'm getting 14-15 city and like 22-24 hwy. even when I try to drive nice and good. ridiculous....

My car feels like night and day with the boltons. i also have cams and gears though. Anyways, I went from 225rwhp to 290rwhp and what a difference. Definitely not cheaper than an S/C or any faster, but if your asking if boltons will make a difference the answer is yes. The question is just what road do you want to take with your car...

I think I'm going to finish off the bolt-ons, I'm in no hurry so I can wait around for some good deals to come or buy some used parts so I'm doing this as cheap as possible. I bet I can do the LT's, prochamber, TB/Plenum, and intake for a little over a grand if I wait for some deals. And a grand for 30rwhp or however much it is isn't a terrible price at all.

bolt ons + cams + gears = fun car, has enough grunt to beat the vast majority of the local import crowd and beat some mildly modded LS1s, thats what i did and im perfectly happy with the car. more pride in N/A then just slapping a blower on

Well the only person I know with an LS1 f-body around hereis my friend, and well he made 370whp on a real hot day with a baby cam and bolt-ons. So basically I'm not keeping up anytime soon. But like I said my one goal is consistent mid 13 second passes, and that will be on street tires. No DR's.

well bolts cams and gears are good for mid 13 second passes all day with an average driver, high 12s are very doable w/ slicks and some suspention work
