Default US Soldier on a buget

Hello to everyone. I just bought my 1st Mustang (03GT)after being an avid Camaro buyer for years and I love it!Does anyone know the average 1/4 mile time and 0-60 time for my car?. It is a 5 speed. I am also about to add some modifications to my car next week. How much HP will my car add if I add flomaster mufflers and what would be the best series to buy? One last question. As far as the CAI, which is better K&N or BBK. Any help would be appreciated.

i have BBK but wish i went with K&N, its plastic so temps will be a lot cooler, flowmaster mufflers alone aren't going to gain you any power but a catback will due to the mandrel bent piping.

You should check out the JLT Ram air intake's, there no that much money and look really good under the hood. Oh yeah and If your buying your stuff from americanmuscle.com use the coupon code "mustangforums" and you'll get 6% off. Thank's for serving our country.

I would say your 1/4 th mile times should be mid to low 14s. I am a soldier also and I know how hard it is to try to mod a car on a budget, but I do what I can.

Fixed it!

The mods you listed might get you a few ponies (5 to 10). Consider doing the midpipe while you're at it. Worth it for the sound alone!

I have series 40 on my car and I love the sound. Also a drop in KN works about just as good and is alot cheaper.

Thanks guys. I am also thinking about buying richmond 3:73 gears to putin it. Will that help any? This car is really like a project.. Like I said earlier, I have owned many camaros. Had one about a month ago and the engine blew up in it. That car had given me so much grief but when it was running right, I loved it. If the03 GTruns mid 14's stock I am trying to get down to about mid 13's. The goal is to been doing mid 13's by next July. If I were to put the K&N, BBK pulleys, 3:73 gears, flomwaster exhaust would that get me to the magic mark of 14 seconds and the quater? I am sorry for the questions but if you don't ask you'l never know right? Just don't want to spend alot of money on something that wouldn't be worth it. I am now staioned in Missouri. Do you guys know of any speed shops that I can get my car tuned? Thanks again!

3.73 or 4.10 gears will be a great mod.
Personally, I would go with FRPP (Ford Racing Performance Parts) gears or Motive secondly. I have heard everyone say that the Richmond gears always whine but I am speaking on hearsay so check around for yourself.

BTW, I bought brand new FRPP 3.73's from www.prestigemustang.com for $150.
