do you have a midpipe w/o cats?? Cause I know my slp **** are black ever since I got my o/r H. the only thing that gets it off and back to shinny is a half hour of elbow greeseand wax per tip.

no just magnaflow exhaust tips.

Normally it will be black or a dark brownish color. Normally from the air fuel mixture being rich. I've never seen pipes that didn't have some carbon in them.

use maguires All Wheel cleaner it spray on then wipes off 10 seconds later and looks shiney as hell again

Are you serious? Do you know why they are called EXHAUST PIPES? Exhaust gases will darken the metal..

^^^he was probably just wondering why they looked like that, there has to be a reason they're brown, it could be a bad reason - he probably wanted to know that reason

like they said, its just extra fuel


with my o/r pipe my tips look awful on the inside, so do all my o/r friend's tips

and, he might care because if the inside of the tips are clean then the chrome gets REALLY shiny reflecting off them selfs

Just to make it clear that I don't clean the inside of my exhaust pipes LOL,but all I clean is the double wall part of the slp tips, I guess I considered that to be inside which it kind of is but you can still see it.

I guess the only real reason someone whould care is what was already stated and the was worrying about the A/F ratio.

yeah if i dont clean my tips after about two weeks the outside is all dirty and brown. i just spray some wheel cleaner on a cloth and rub the outside down, i gave up trying to keep the inside clean now that i have no cats.
