Default Long Tube Headers question

Just wondering about how loud long tubes are. I've been listening to videos online and it's hard to tell. I'm currently running a catted BBK H pipe and flowmasters. Would long tubes make my car a lot louder or just a little louder? I'm just thinking I don't need my car to sound like an all out race car on my way to work.

Thanks,

Joe

If I am at WOT and passing a truck, my exhaust hurts my ears. It will be alot louder then what you have now because you still have cats

If you keep the cats, it wont be much different, if you run off road pipes, it will be much louder. Its not that bad though, I romp on it going up on ramps right next to 20 foot walls, and it doesnt hurt my ears, it music to em.

mine is a hell of a lot louder with the LTs. i think it sounds terrible. don't get LTs if you have straight-thru mufflers. mine crackles and pops above 2500rpm really bad.[:'(]

Ive got a buddy who has straight through magnaflows, off road x, and had stock manifolds. Then he upgraded to LT's and swapped for the shorty off road x, it was only a **** hair louder, JMO
