Default lower control arms question

i went and got my new tires on the car today and while it was on the lift me and the mechanic looked for where an odd sound was coming from.
we found two of the bushings in my lower control arm are bad, really bad. they want over $600 for labor. screw that.
i was just wondering, instead of replacing the bushings, should i replace the whole lower control arm?
any input is appreciated.

I'm doing just that as we speak(well taking a break)...yes,,,a decent set of LCA would be a better replacement than just bushings....600 labor OMG....I replaced both uppers and lowers in about 3 hours(lower CA bolts frooze in the steel sleeves)....Need drag springs to finish.

do they provide the lube also??? cause they want to**** you!!! go with new lower control arms its cheaper and they arent hard to install some hand tools (but air would be better !) and a jack and some stands and a hour or two and you will be done!!
