if you dont have serious modifications, there is no reason to run higher than 87.... if you have a tune with full bolt ons(depending on the tune) run at least 91...with my tune (and the fact that its available around here) i run 93

+1 without a tune to make your motor run better on higher octane you are wasting money on anything higher than 87. I as well run full bolt ons and a 100 shot and have a 93 tune. If it werent for that I would be on 87.

Without a tune there's no reason to run anything but 87, maybe 91 if you experience pinging in hot weather. We can get 93 down here year round, so that what I tune for and what I run...

Without a reason (advacned ign timingor increased cylinder pressure) you don't need more. Sorry, just trying to clarify the above points.

they've said it all.. you don't need more than 87 unless you're tuned for the higher octane or if you experience pinging.

no just ever since the first time i put 87 in it, ive been having problems, for instance like an hour after that i started having start up problems and ever since i been running 92-94 in it it hasnt had start up problems anymore, i dont know if this would be due to the fact i used 87 once or what, if not i dont understand what else it could be, the car is still fairly new, its an 04 GT
