i got a guy who wants to race me, supposedly he has a decent sized cam, LTs, bolt ons, and hes runnin race gas. what kinda power do you think hes makin. i know about what an ls1 would make but not sure on the LT1.....ooh yea and he wants to race on the interstate!!!!!

 

LS1 should be pushing 400-425ish, while the the LT1 should be pushing maybe 350-375ish, I have seen a few LT1s with some wild numbers with just those bolt ons and *cam*, and backin those numbers up with sick track times. I dunno maybe some factory freaks, or they just did not tell me what they had. Outta give you a run for your money

 

ive noticed that LT1's vary alot. i've seen some really slow LT1's and i've seen some badass LT1's. its wierd.

 

an lt1 is a pretty good motor. id say that guy will be pushing 375+. if he has ported heads and intake probly closer to 400.

 

from what i know and heard he has just a cam, bolt ons, and is runnin race gas. i dont think hes on the gas either. the funny thing was that he wants to run on the interstate!!!! i dont think ill have a problem with him on the intertstate but at the track hes got the upper hand because of my lack of traction and also that hes n/a. i dunno, its not a big deal if i lose, basically my motto is RUN WHAT YA BRUNG, and if i lose i lose, so what

 

but on the track they cant launch well, they have weak rearends that pretty much eliminate any kind of drag radial, plus you have 3.90's and like 3.27 first gear ratio, so you should take him off the line.

 

i have no traction in 1st or 2nd with street tires, and the only tires i can get for the track are slicks.....not really wantin to break my rearend

 

you gotta feather that throttle, ehh no difference anyway, yall are racing on the interstate. Good thing you got a centri supercharger. Good luck, let us know whats up
