i did race an SS camaro ls1 with a cam and bolt ons, it was tight but i had about a car or so on em.....

You should take him. The race gas won't help him any unless he has a tune for it. All the race gas will do is allow him to run more timing.

the only thing im scared of is whether hes had a tune or not.....ive seen some nasty lt1s run at the track but the had h/c/i and nitrous......i really dont know much about the lt1s though.

they are toned down primitive LS1's. If you beat an LS1 with a similar setup, your good to go.

+1, race gas makes no since really unless he is running a high compression setup.
