01-04????
I noticed on sum sites, and even american muscle at sum parts it will say for years 01 - 04 for like heads or cams and stuff.. Arent 99-04 same motor?.. whats the difference between an 00 and an 01?
no they have different motors, they are bassically the same but they were made at different plants and have very minor differences. they call them windsor and romeo, i cant remember which is which.
Romeo, Mi. and Windsor, Canada
Romeo uses bolt on can gears
Windsor uses press on cam gears
Romeo has camshaft girdles
windsor has camshaft caps
Romeo has 11 bolt valve covers
Windsor has 13 bolt valve covers
Romeo has jack screws in the main caps
Windsor has pins in the main caps
Romeo uses bolt on can gears

if the 8th letter of your VIN is an X, then you have a Windsor block, if the 8th letter of your VIN is a W, then you have a Romeo block.... the letters don't really make sense, but that's what the guys at Anderson Ford said when we ordered my dad's cams...
