Impreza WRX. Some can be clean, some are ragged out. They got descent power for what they are. Should be a flat 4 2.0L or 2.5L I cant remeber, but it should be AWD too.

subaru's don't have much top end.... but they run mid-low 14's... it'd be a close race... DO ITTTTT

edit: I'm speaking of the turboed wagons.

I raced one just the other day on the freeway. We started from 55 and stayed even all the way till 100 then I pulled a car and a half on him and let off at 130. So I think they kinda die off once they start going. All wheel drive dosnt do to good for top end its all about the dead stops and droping the clutch and not spining.

It depends what year it is. If it's the earlier years, they are 2.0L's. They aren't that impressive, maybe high 14's stock with an okay driver. Most I've seen are low 15's stock (even if it has AWD, you have to know how to drive it!). The newer models switched to 2.5L's, basically a detuned STi engine. They are more torquier than the earlier models, and seem to be mid-low 14 second players in stock form, depending on driver and model.

The one you raced probably had a few simple upgrades. He probably had the boost upped a little, and probably some exhaust work like a downpipe or complete turbo-back. From a stop, you probably could have pulled some unless he really knew what he was doing.

BTW, this would be a good thread for the street/strip section. I know there is a WRX guy or two in there sometimes.

They had 2.0 with 224hp until the 2006 model, then the WRXs got the same 2.5 literthat the STI has, just with a smaller turbo and de-tuned. A 2006 WRX will give a GT a good run from a dig all the way up to 145mph. I test drove a 2006 WRX and it felt strong with no issues pegging the speedo (145).
