I actually found a seller that was selling awhole stack of them about a few days after I had found the ad for the first time! It was another ebay seller. He said "slap these puppies on your engine and separate yourselfs from the rest of the crowd, they'll think you have a prototype engine"....lol Also if this engine was just tuned at a higher hp......where's the computer to go with it that will give it that power.. Also why couldn't you and I just tune another cobra motor for the same gains? Different or prototype means $$$$ and more like you cannot get a part for it. I bet if the thing is a prototype is bown up!

 

i dont doubt that it may make more power, if fact i think they had a protype that made damn near 500 n/a, however there is no telling whats inside of it, what stage of development they were in, what test was performed on it - and whats different about it - theres no gaurantee everything will just "hook up"

 

Prototype motors were used to find out what's good and what's bad. That motor has both while the factory cobra engine has all good don't you think? Besides, once it's blown up and rebuilt the whole "prototype" aspect of it is gone. He said it has only dyno runs on it and that's probably true. Many hours of wide open throttle! He said it's been sitting up for TEN years! Can we say dry rotted gaskets and seals?
