Buying used supercharger?

I was just wondering what the risks are of buying a used supercharger. This one has 3000 miles on it and the guy ran nitrous, but the guy says it is in good condition. If the car was driven hard which I am sure it was, how bad is that on the actual supercharger. Would you not reccomend buying a used one or what? and what questions should be asked..thanks

if you do, just get a rebuild kit, its worth it for you to sleep every night.

That's the cobra one on ebay right! You'll have to close up all those tapped hole where they stuck N20 nozzles into. A rebuild kit is a must granted it's not locked up or has extreme play in it. He wants a bit for it. If you could go there in person and feel the end play if it has any and make sure it turns then I would say ok. I don't do private business with ebay crooks unless they have 300+ feedbacks! I cannot remember what he has.

Why the hell are you gonna spend a grand a rebuild kit for a perfectly find working supercharger? If you hook it up and something breaks fix it then....
