Thanks for the enformation. my air fuel was 11.8, and i took 3 degrees of timing out. basicly all i really need is a window switch. other than that, i would have been fine. plus im going to up grade to aHPS manifold. If i had a decent manifold, i would be fine, so i blame this on ford.
not to be a d!ck but you can't blame Ford because YOU had a nitrous back fire. You had a nitrous back fire because YOU missed a shift and YOU didn't have a window switch. You may want to thank Ford though that it was only a plastic intake that blew and not an aluminum one that could have done some real damage.

what kinda of window switch are you running. i thinking about this one.
Nitrous Outlet Digital Dual Window Switch
[ul][*]Integrated wide-open-throttle detection[*]Each channel has a multi-gear lock-out setting[*]User configurable for rising or falling TPS signal[*]Supports low voltage tach signals as low as 3 volts[*]Works with irregular tach signals such as V10 and 3cyl[*]Push-button programming with integrated LED digital display[*]Dual window switch[*]Compact rugged, waterproof design[/ul]

back when I did my nitrous, they didn't have many to chose from. I got an MSD window swicth that I had to send back to MSD and pay them $35 to covert it to 1 cylinder operation to work on our cars. I have a couple friends that have the digital window swicth (I think it's either by MSD or NX) and they love it.

So many have the idea that a "better" intake is all they need. Check out this expensive Bullitt intake after a little nitrous pop[8D]
