Default NOS back fire

Yeap, i just blew my plastic manifold to **** last night. I just finally put it all together.

Ok, it was my thrid run with the 75shot on the street playing around. The NOS is hooked up to the T handle and a wide open throttle switch. I was going into forth gear and missed (trans is on it way out to, its only a matter of time) over revved the motor and on its way done, it back fired and blew a huge hole right behind thealternator. Sooooooooooooo, ionly got to have 15min of funwith my $700 custome set up.

? So, do i buy another OEM manifold our do i buy an aftermarketone. If so, witch one.

Our does anybody want to sell there OEM manifold.

that's what happens when you don't run the proper safety equiptment (ie window switch). I'd get another stocker intake, and all the safety stuff before you spray again.

when it sprays in certain RPM's you wont have to worry about over revving and it blowin ur intake up. so if you miss a shift and you go over that rev limiter for the NOS it shuts it off so you wont have that problem

This is why I am afraid of nitrous. Nitrous + not enough knowledge/experience = very bad things.

Just because it's cheap, doesn't mean it's for everyone who can afford it. I'd recommend reading the very detailed tutorials that are floating around the internet and you can really learn a lot about it. I would also be there to watch the install take place so you can learn about all the parts as well

here's a thread I started a while back. It didn't last long but I dug it up. It has some basic info that I came up with through my years of experience with N2O. There are many other points that I probably didn't touch on. But as stated above, the best thing you can do is learn by asking questions. Many people who don't know, go into it blind and end up being another statistic. IMO that is what gave N2O a bad name a long time ago. I hope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or some of the others on here, I'm sure they wouldn't mind educating ya'll either.

Thanks for the enformation. my air fuel was 11.8, and i took 3 degrees of timing out. basicly all i really need is a window switch. other than that, i would have been fine. plus im going to up grade to aHPS manifold. If i had a decent manifold, i would be fine, so i blame this on ford.
