Default quick question........

How much coolant/water does an 03 GT hold? I don't need the ratio of antifreeze to water, I just need the actual amount of liquids it holds till it's at the full mark. Thanks.

I think it's in the owners manual. 17.9 liters, or 4.8 gallons, however... I put about 2 1/2 total gallons in mine from being completely drained and it was full and doesn't overheat???? Maybe a strange act of nature, IDK.

Default RE: quick question........

Strange. I emptied it out. Then as the plug was still unplugged I put the hose in there. Started the car and let it run till the vents were scorching hot. Shut the car down. Let the remainder of the stuff drain out of the plug, and then filled it with distilled water / antifreeze / water wetter.

The strange part is I only managed to get 3/4 of a gallon of anitfreeze in, 1 full gallon of distilled water, and of course the little bottle of water wetter. I hope it's not all tap water that stayed in while I was running the car. We have really hard water and it leaves crap on cars or anything that gets wet. I hope the mix of stuff will be enough to offset the properties of the hard water. I'm also hoping there's enough antifreeze in there, although it shouldn't matter much since I live in Fl and don't see freezing weather & I also added water wetter which will aid the cooling process.

Any thoughts on this?
