I wanted to know how the diablo tuner really works..............I need someone that has one, to help me.

No. you can load the pre-set 93 oct. tune and go. it's very simple,and yes it does work. it took 3 tenths off my 1/8th mile,with other mods

 

no, you dont need to know how to tune the car. in fact it comes with a manual that explains all the parameters and how to adjust them and what they do.
when you get more comfortable with your car you might even experiment with some of them and see what you can do (like running a 5.xx gear ratio so it looks like im going 120 mph when im really going 80 [8D])
im in CA where we do not have 93 and had to retard spark in the 4k-6k rpm range because i was detonating and im just your average everyday person... no real car courses under my belt

 

93 octane FTW. i got my spark maxed out on both settings and no detonation. w00t! [8D]
