it's a 31 spline which is what comes in the trucks. It's better than stock but for not much more he could have gotten an Eaton. He may be fine with it depending on how much abuse he plan on putting to it.

actually ford offers the 31 spline from the cobra with carbon clutches and then they offer another 31 spline t-lock rated a little bit higher (this ones is noticable because it has actual springs instead of the s-spring between the spider gears. (both are pretty stout)
