OK I've thought about this a lot more and are you guys SURE I shouldn't be worried about driving 186 miles (according to mapquest) home after getting these things installed? I know I should heat cycle so I will but it's still a lot of use right after it gets put in there.. I just want to be sure.

you'll be fine man dont worry about it. When my brother in law put mine in he acted like I was crazy when I asked him about heat cycling. So I pulled out and pitched the a$$ end out and went hard all teh way into 3rd and never have had a problem 6 months later. No Worries.

When I put mine in, I did three heat cycles and then drove home from my buddy's house where we installed them. You'll be fine so long as you don't beat on them right away. After the install, drive around and make sure there is no whine and no leaks. After that, take a break for a while before getting on the road. After the first 20 minutes of driving, stop for some food and let them cool down a bit. Then if you can stop one more time before getting home, you should be fine.

got em put in and the shop was out of speedcals so I just bought an X3 lol. they changed the gear and changed my fuel to premium 93 octane. that is safe to do right?

overall I'm pretty impressed. Haven't gotten on it much since I still have a tank with half 87 and half 93 but once I empty it I'm gonna refill and have at her . I definitely like being more in the powerband while driving on the highway. before, the car just didn't want to go when you needed it to in fifth at 70. now it doesn't hesitate at all. my rpm at 80 is only like 3100 is that correct? I expected it to be much higher. 3100 doesnt bother me at all. my advice for anyone getting gears is to get 4.10s or be disappointed

Yeah, 4.10's are not too much gear for highway use. And 3100rpm sounds about right for 80mph. Congrats!

Do you have a really short tire? I have 4.30's and I turn just about 3,000 rpm when I'm at 80mph, a little under actually.
