Default 03 Mach 1

Im trading in my 07 auto sixxer for an 03 manual mach 1. Any tips I should know about this car like any defects, bugs, weird happenings? Thanks all.

Some 03-04Machs/Cobras have a head tick problem. Get the service records for the car to see if it has been fixed or if it even had the problem. And ask around at Mach1registry.org you'll get a ton of info over there.

The 3650 transmissions generally have noisey throw out bearings. The 03/04 Cobra's & Mach 1's are known to develop a head tick. Valve guides get waaay too how due to a coolant flow issue and wear. According to Ford, SVT & the hundreds of people with this problem - there hasn't been an engine failure or performance loss due to this issue. It's just a rather annoying sound.

As for anything else, remember it's a Ford and you should know everything you need to getting into this car.

Mach 1's are awesome!

You'll love it, I can't imagine what it's gonna feel like going from a six to a Mach 1. Don't be afraid to rev it, Machs love it and pull really hard over 4k rpms. As far as problems, everything people above said and I have heard about synchro problems, although I have not had any problems so far (35k miles). Congratulations!!
