315/30/18 BF Goodrich G-force DR's for $425 shipped to my door he we come!!! [sm=americanasmiley.gif]Gonna throw my skinny *** 275's up front where they belong and stick some beefs on![sm=gears.gif]
Gettin my 3" basic Cobra R cowl hood painted along with my SVO351 spoiler. Can't wait.
So, I got the tires cheap, I got the hood free along with the spoiler free....lol Ohh, the paint job is only costin' me $350 which includes blending the hood into the fenders and the spoiler is blended into the trunk lid! Hood is gettin a nice base/clear on the underside as well. My boy does nice paint work for cheap for me anyways.[sm=happy046.gif]

I got a quote from OE Wheels for tire size Nexen N3000 245/45/17 and a 275/40/17 for the 17 X 9 and 17 X 10.5 Bullit wheels to keep my Speedo set to my stock 16" GT wheels.

How will these size tires look size wise?

As I told them, I'm just looking for a good cruising tire, nothing for hardcore drag racing or road racing.

in the rear I would go with 315/35/17, its the same overall diameter as both the tires you just listed

Really? Would I need a speedo recal?

I'm not worried about me driving in the rain with this thing, but it's the wife I'm more worried about with the wider tires, she's not used to that stuff. I don't want her to wad the car up if she gets caught in the rain, much less me wadding it up and I'm used to it.

here is the math to show you its the same
275mm=27.5cm
27.5cm/2.54=10.83in wide
10.83*40% aspect ratio=4.33in sidewall
4.33x2+17=25.66 overall diameter

315mm=31.5cm
31.5cm/2.54=12.40in wide
12.40*35% aspect ratio=4.34in sidewall
4.34x2+17=25.68 overall diameter

same sidewall and overall diameter, off by .02", which doesnt matter, tire manufacturers could not control that much variation if they wanted too. If anything the 315 will give you more traction due to increased mass, so it will handle better and not rub, I had those same tires on my stang.

Thanks!! That's pretty clear.
I think I'll go with the 315. I'll just have to make sure the wife dosn't drive it when it might rain.

315's will fit, I have 10.5 and they could deffinitly fit 10" rims.
