It's safe to say that in the state of Virginia they are pretty seriousabout punishing people for driving too fast. I got clocked doing 91 in a 65, on I-81 south near Woodstock. The fine came to exactly $666.00 even.Good thing I'm not superstitious!

yeah i got a ticket in VA too $450 for doing 88 in a 45. glad it was before all the new bs laws they passed. i tried to tellthe copmy car couldntdo that its only a honda.

got a reckless on 81 doing 90 something,luckly they let me go to a driving school so i did not have to pay.
Va dont play around with speeding,i drive on 81 every day to work about a 30min drive.i see about 5-10
cop having ppl pulled over or clocking every day just within that 30mins.
if you speed in va you will get a ticket!!

Isnt virginia one of those 7 or so states that you cant use a radar in?
Cause virginia has some pretty nice roads to speed on. Its to tempting.

they have somekind of radar that pick up radars haha.

Virginia sucks!!! Especially when the speed limit drops to 55 on I95...I drive to Florida from NJ a few times a year and my girlfriend always drives in Virginia because i seriously can't stand driving 55mph on a friggen empty highway. When you drive through Virginia you see nothing but cops with people pulled over every 2-3 miles...its insane!

way back when i had my 02 sixxer i got ticketed for 104 in a 55...caused:
$300 in fines
3 months license suspension(didnt even really suspend them)
write a letter of apology to the city and my parents
and 60 hrs in community service(that i didnt do)
all i did was pay the 300 dollars...that was 5 years ago in GA

LOL @ being put in detention!
Well we have learned something people... if you drive in VA stay off of I-81! I-64 is pretty quiet of cops but 95 in VA is filled with them
