Default TB/Plenum/CAI worth it?

Should I get the accufab tb/plenum combo with a CAI or would all that money not be worth it for me?

The Accufab unit looks really nice. I have the 75mm throttle body/plenum combo. I could feel more pull in the midrange and on top end. You get what you pay for, but the difference in reality is a few hp at the wheels at best.

In your sig, you say you already have a K&N filter w/ removed silencer. That should cover your CAI needs, unless you want some more show under the hood.

And did you instal your TB and plenum yourself? And did you notice significant difference after you installed it.........like worth what you paid?

I installed it myself. Had trouble with the two screws for the TPS from the stock unit, so I ended up using a Dremel tool to cut a longer, deeper slot for a flathead screwdriver. Used a big ol' trusty flathead and some muscle and they came out eventually. The PCV/EGR nuts/screws were a pain in the *** because I didn't have deep sockets, so I ended up using a wrench (forget what size).

I noticed the sound of air whooshing into the intake was much greater, and almost sounded like a turbo. Throttle response was much more precise, and like I said before, I felt more power starting from about 2k up to redline.

As far as price, I wasn't going to settle for less because I wanted the best. I felt that it was expensive, but I think I would have bought it eventually anyway.

Is your car a stick or auto? There is an issue with some units that people have reported the rpms hanging, and especially with an auto, that means longer stopping distances and just a pain in the *** when driving. I'm not sure if getting dyno tuned could help it out.

You don't have to worry about it then, but just so you know, a dyno tune will help max out any power gains to be had with this stuff.
