cons
Whats the real difference in Ceramic Coater LT's and just Stainless steel LT's. I know ceramics control the heat a little. Is it bad to go Stanless Steel over ceramic coated. Whats pros and cons. Could i drive a Daily driver with Stainless STeel LT's.
Stainless steel has much lower thermal conductivity (15 W/mK [Watts per meter per °Kelvin]) than mild steel (50+ W/mK). Real ceramic coating, like Jet Hot (as opposed to"ceramic" rattle-can paint) can insulate make mild steel and make it appear to conduct less heat. The very best would be ceramic coated stainless. Avoid wrapping for a DD,it will corrode even stainless headers and can causecarbon steel pipes to burnthrough inhot-spots.
