I took mine out and now I love it. OK, I loved it before, but now I love it more.

I removed mine as well and enjoy all the more. It is extremely easy mod, and it does not make the clutch pedal overly offensive.

Took mine out a few days ago, it quickly went into the trash where it belongs.

Pedal feels WAY more traditional without it.

It "firms" it up a bit but nothing to worry about, this is the way to go for sure.

The clutch was way too soft with that spring. I like a really firm pedal. Still seems softer than my 13 but a definite improvement. I found it hard to find that sweet spot in the clutch with the spring.

Now I'm seeing Steeda promote a 35lb spring to replace the stock one. Their stating that no spring will cause damage to the clutch? Can anyone shed some light on this?

There has been some suggestion of the slave cylinder going bad over time after removing the spring, due to the fact that the pedal will "droop". I took mine out but I put it back in to keep my warranty safe but broke the center plastic rod while doing so. Just be aware that the spring and ends are not available separately from Ford. You have to purchase the entire clutch and brake pedal assembly. It lists for $127.00. The aftermarket spring from steeda only includes the spring, not the ends.
