right after the mid pipe... thats where i would put them... put them too close to the headers and driving around like that could potentially be bad for your engine...

I have a clip in my sig with BBK LTs and cutouts. They are the manual ones. There is not that much room for the gigantor DC motor for the electric ones, I tried, ended up selling the QTP cutouts on ebay. At idle it sounds like dookie. Ofcoure I have stock valvetrain, with cams, it would sound like a hoss. I got the cheapo jegs manual ones. Keep in mind if you buy the electric ones, they bolt up to manual ones and some kits dont include the manual cut outs and you have to buy those as well.

I have cutouts on mine. It's pretty loud, but VERY obnoxious. It was a cool idea, and pretty cheap.

how could it be bad right behind the headers, like I have them, like my shop suggested?

Ok now explain how you burn valves by having open manifolds. You can run open headers all day long if you want to and no harm will come to the engine just your hearing.

running open headers may run into warping your exhaust valve. Letting off the throttle from high RPMs will allow air to suck back through the header... and that's why it is bad to run open headers/manifold ALL DAY!!! at the track is fine and maybe a couple of cruises but i wouldnt do it all the time... but hey it's not my car, it's yours im just giving you my opinion.... and ghostrider02gt ask your shop if it's ok to run your car open headers all the time if they know anything (which i hope they do) they will say no just to race...
