Default 99 cobra...

alrighty... i dont want to say i may or may not get it bc i dont wanna get my hopes up....

anyways, i know the recalls on these is the intake manifold, the mufflers, ECU reflash and something with a tensioner pulley or something??

so how do i know if the guy or previous owner berfore him brought it to get the recall.. where is the sticker located and what does it say??

BTW, its a red cobra the same as mine with about 20K on it for 10grand.... sweet deal huh??

im hoping my parents allow me to do this. my sis' b/f's friend is selling it

also, is there anything else i need to look for??

(how bad is the MPG and what OCTANE do i use to fill it up?)

thanks in advance guys

You can call any Ford dealer and give them the VIN and they can look it up in the service records. Every 99 Cobra I've seen has had the fix done, so I would say it would be more common to find a 99 with the fix done than not since it was done under a recall and not a TSB.

91 octane, you would check for the infamous blue dot on the intake manifold to know if it got serviced they usually put the blue dot in the circle spot.

pretty sweet deal, i'd be all over it.

It could be green alsoand there will be a sticker underneath the front passenger's side of the hood.

I get about 17/25 mpg. Not too bad.....
