The whole thing about us only being faster ona preppedtrack isn't completly true. If you don't think that a 450 hp Viper has a tough time launching on the street, think again. They are not exactly known for their handling either. They are a stripped down car with a crap load of power designed to go fast in a straightish line. It takes a person with considerable practice to get good times out of them. I'm not saying our bolt-on stangs are Viper killers. I wouldn't waste my time or gas trying to keep up with a Viper on the open road, never. But, I'll race one from stoplight to stoplight, or down the 1/4 and not feel inadequate what-so-ever. These high end cars are designed for long stretches of open road, or road courses. That's why they run 13 sec ETs and thencruise the autobahn at +180mph for 20 miles without having to have a death grip on the steering wheel or feeling likethey're about to take flight. Nice list Btw. I love it when someone post real times and results for a change. People hear "Ferrari" or "Viper" and suddenly think of some superman car that only the elite drive. I have always thought someone would have to be insane to spend +100k on a car. A car, one of the WORST investments known to man.
