Which is better 04 Cobra or 08 GT
Ok I am about to do a 365 deployment, so when I get back i will have some bank. I have a 99gt now. When I get back I want an 04 cobra supercharged with a Kenne Bell or a 08 or 09 GT with same S/C which is a safe PSI for both cars and which would have more overall potential for HP?
any input would be nice. thanks

You start with forged internals in the Cobra. The 08 or 09GT will be limited to mid-400 rwhp....which you'll get to pretty quick with a KB.

Cobra is a much better starting point then the GT.
Which service are you in that you are only doing 365 days? I'm over here with orders that say 15 months and there is already talkof anextension to 18 months.

there is no comparison. the cobra is a better platform all the way around. forged bottom end, better flowing heads, sumped tank with dual pumps, 6 speed (viper spec would be better though), looks better.

If you don't know someone with an S197 who'll let you take it for a respectful rip, rent one and I think you'll see that this isn't much of a decision. Honestly, out of the box, modded down the road, with any variable thrown in, the '03-'04 Cobra is the better car all around. Unless of course you are so smitten with the new look that you're willing to look the other way. I find the S197 to be a heavy, divey, unpredictable at cornering limit luxosled. But that's just one man's opinion. Drive both and make up your own mind...
