Default Headers?

Hey guys, I just bought a 01 GT over the summer. I put a few mods on over the summer (Bassani Cat-Back, JLT CAI, Eibach Sportline) now I have about $1200 to spend on Christmas presents for myself. I was thinking a Bassani O/R X-pipe, but then I thought a pair of LTs will make it sound so much meaner. What combo will work best, sound the best with my Cat-Back? I really want to stay with Bassani because I love the sound, but its real expensive. What power gains can I expect from this?

You could go with Bassani's midlength headers and a matching midpipe to go with the catback.
I think they have about the same amount of gains as longtubes.

the bassani headers are great quality but sometimes they leak beacuse each header is actually 5 pieces

bbk has some nice longtubes

A lot of people seem to like BBK and MAC ceramic coated headers because of the price and the quality.

the X will give you alot louder of a sound, but causing it to lose the deep throatytone. If you go with an H it'll be loud (not as loud as the x) and it'll maintain it's deep tone.

your best bet is to try youtube for some sound clips.

don't bother getting middies or shorties... save the extra couple hundred for the LT... and you will see more out of LT then middies or shorties

so I just bought the bbk longtubes and the matching shorty H. Now all I need is someone to install the LTs. I would do it myself but I am in school and dont have the time. Ive been doing a little calling around to a bunch of shops and I either get a ridiculus price or a "those things are a bitch, I don't do them". What can I expect a reasonable price to be?

Id like to put L/Ts on my 01 too. So Id like to know how hard the install is. Any write ups on it? I bet I can get some friends to do it for me.

Theyve done cams and lift kits and converters on their trucks so this shouldnt be too hard for them
