Those old IROC Camaros are slow as funk. You should have much of a problem

i dunno tho guys.. that car isnt stock, even if its an lt1 th still has more mods than his car n lt1 are about even with stangs..the trans still has him beat

 

shhh, if these bench racers think they dont have a chance, they'll never get out there to race and really find out. Whenever I see these "my buddy wants to race..." threads, just tell em, yea sure buddy, you'll win, that way, they ACTUALLY race, lol and we can find the real results

its not an lt1 its TPI which is kinda ****ty induction on those cars

 

I think the IROC-Zs/Formulas of the 1980's with the 350ci V8 had 245hp and 325ft/lbs of torque. Not too shabby!

 

The 88 GTA is not a LT1. Its a L98 TPI, the same type of motor thats in my `87 `Vette. Stock, they are something like 245HP. Nice, but not all that fast. Now if we were talking about the `89 3.8 turbo GTA- Thats a different story
