Hows it going? I was given a 4.6 2v. It was supposedly out of a 2000 f150. But the intake that it has isn't the tall design on the trucks. I was told that the difference between the truck and the mustang was the head design and different cams. Is there a way to really find out which heads they are or any thing on the block I could use as a reference? Thanks in advance.

You will have to pull the intake. All the 2v heads on 4.6s are the same except 96-98 are NON-PI and 99-04 are PI heads. Pull the intake and look at the intake runners. If they are round then they are non-pi if they are more square then they are pi. The cams and intake are the only differences between truck and mustang 4.6L.
