MyDad and I purchased my first cara 2000 mustang gt from a dealer. The dealer only said the factory radio was changed. My dad looks under the hood and sees a cold air kit and notices it doesnt have the stock pony throttle body theres also an h pipe installed.Car was bought for 9,400 , We also noticed the car has a whole different suspension and lowered.My dad said this car pulls alot harder than his stock 04 gt. How would i know if I have gears , upgraded clutch , tune , ect..

 

i know if you have gears you would have to lift the rear and spin the wheels and count the rotation

 

He means jack up the rear and spin the drive shaft and count the rotation of the wheels. If it takes 3.27 spins of the drive shaft than you have stock gears... 4.10 rotations than 4.10s ect.

 

Try to search for a few of your question on here... They come up all the time.
As far as the upgraded clutch goes, you will have to pull the tranny to find that out.

5 speed? if so then just compare the rpms to ur dads car. i think when im in forth doun 50mph im at like 2700? i forget but anyway just tell ur dad to see what rpm he is at in a cetain gear then get urs in that gear and see where ur at also, if ur rpms are higher then u probly have gears

 

ah, true, true. ive got he stock 3.27s and at 70mph im at 2k rpms

 

Throw up some pics of your engine bay and we can pick out the under-hood bolt ons. Follow the above instructions for gears. I'm not sure about a tune though...

 

that won't work, the 2000 has a T-45 trans and the 04 has a 3650 trans. the 45 and the 3650 do not have the same final (5th) drive ratio.

A 45 car will tach about the same at 70 MPH with 3.73s as a 3650 car will wtih 4.10s.

 

with my t-45 trans with 3:27's I ran 2350rpms at 80mph, now with 3:73's I run 2600rpms at 80mph
