Is there anyway to raise it up to about 7000?

 

You could probably do it with a tuner bu why do you want to do that? Do you think you'll gain that much with the higher risk of damage to your engine?

 

you can remove your rev-limiter with a tuner, and then you can make redline as high as you want.

 

You do that with a stock motor and you are going to break something that is not easy to fix.

 

like i want to raise my redline up but... enhance my block to handle it? Idk really i love my stang i just want a bit more space between my shifts. Also i heard that putting a stage 1 cam increases the powerband to like 6500+

 

yeah but you need a bottom end that will handle going into those higher RPsS

 

i know the later cobras have a 7rl but does the machs? theyre the same engine just with out the s/c huh?

You can raise your redline to what ever you want...... i have a 97 gt with minor stuff. theres some stuff which was done before i got it. bought it off a stealership with no way to get ahold of the guy before me. It has about 130000 on it so i was just looking for a new engine and tranny to drop in it. Looking at 4v. but itll be awhile before i get that money XD so i wanna continue on with this engine
