Someone said something about putting ford explorer heads on a stang, is that true, and are they better then a gt's heads. Would it work for a 01 gt , and is it worth it. Or is there other nice heads I can buy out there other then patriot or vt that are much better then the 01 gt heads. And if I was to get some explorer heads could the comp behive valve springs be used on them

 

I think they were talking about the 5.0 heads, I heard the samething from a guy that I autocross with.
Some/maybe allthe5.0 exploders had GT40 heads.

Dam, so is there any better heads to buy for a 01 gt other then the 1200+ dollar patriot and vt and such

 

go buy a 5.0L 302 motor and drop some LS1 heads on it

But they aren't cheap either. Any decent set of heads is likely to cost you. But with the 2v, they all still don't flow all that great in the grand scheme of things, but will flow enough to give you decent power.
